The Static Scream

In this large-scale art object, I have captured the aesthetics of a true thriller. Within the massive elongated dome, vintage micro-lightbulbs are frozen, with wasps perched upon them as if awaiting an impulse. The composition is completed by raw, rusted bolts—debris of mechanisms that will never move again.

As an artist, I embedded into this work the horror aesthetic that I sincerely love in cinema, but which became all too real for me in life. The process of creating this pendant was accompanied by intense mental "trash" and gaslighting, which became a true horror for me. I chose not to flee from this state but to "seal" it, transforming a destructive experience into a luxury artifact. The wasps, frozen on the bulbs, symbolize numbness and hidden threat. An important clarification: all insects were found dead in their natural environment; I strictly do not kill living creatures for the sake of art. This artifact is my way of processing "horror" into strength, leaving it inside the resin as a trophy of my survival and rebellion.
