PRESS KIT

Olekandra Fomchenko is a Ukrainian contemporary artist working with resin to create conceptual wearable relics that exist between jewelry, artifact, and psychological object.

Her work explores themes of bodily memory, survival, trauma transformation, parasitism, dark femininity, and uncomfortable beauty.

Using self-developed casting methods and original silicone molds, she creates symbolic objects that resemble preserved evidence of emotional and psychological transformation.

Previously known for delicate botanical resin jewelry, her artistic practice has evolved into a darker and more conceptually driven body of work focused on survival, transformation, and ritualized symbolism.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I create resin relics that preserve traces of survival, memory, rage, and transformation.

My work exists somewhere between jewelry, evidence, and ritual object.

I no longer use beauty to hide the truth.
Now beauty becomes a way to confront it.
