This artifact is a frozen ritual of liberation. Within a perfect optical dome lies the remains of real wax candles that burned until the wax melted in heavy drops and the wicks became charred. Alongside them are two real ladybugs and steel nails piercing through the space.

I created this piece as an altar to the memory of burned hopes that have transformed into unyielding strength. The wax symbolizes the pliability expected of us, but the charred wick and nails declare that our internal fire cannot be extinguished. The brilliant crimson of the ladybugs represents the indestructible spark of life amid the ash. It is a manifesto of rebellion and a symbol of reclaiming one's magic.
